Job Summary

As a Transactions Specialist within the Virtual Payment Center, you will review foreign items through image files and process image-scan and open cases/index items received through mail and couriers from clients, branches, other internal departments, and correspondent banks. You will obtain and apply foreign currency conversion rates on international items as required. You will ensure all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure required IPH levels are met
  • Maintain high accuracy levels to mitigate financial risk
  • Cross-train on other functions for backup support
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Process DDA transactions for Retail & Commercial Banking customers
  • Resolve customer-initiated transactions unable to be realized
  • Compare and escalate discrepancies in internal records
  • Meet firm-wide quality standards
  • Engage with team to complete cases within timelines
  • Exhibit highest standards of customer service and confidentiality
  • Communicate and escalate issues to management as needed

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree
  • Demonstrate good typing speed (minimum 8,000 keystrokes/hour)
  • Possess 2+ years' experience in Financial Services or Banking operations
  • Exhibit strong research, analytical, and data comprehension skills
  • Build outstanding client management and stakeholder partnerships
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work independently on multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bring experience in middle or back-office operations
  • Demonstrate cross-line of business knowledge of banking systems
  • Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Grasp concepts and procedures quickly
  • Show flexibility in operating hours, including overtime and weekends
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Adapt comfortably to change, ambiguity, and informed risk-taking
