As a Trading Services Associate (Manager) in the Trading Services team, you will ensure timely and accurate trade capture, lifecycle processing, and settlements for over‑the‑counter derivatives traded with private banking clients. You will partner with colleagues across the front, middle, and back office to resolve complex issues, maintain strong controls, and escalate risks promptly. You will also identify and deliver process improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and client experience. Job responsibilities
- Validate and approve trade booking tickets with thorough checks against standard operating procedures.
- Capture, enrich, and process trades through the full lifecycle to on‑time settlement with high accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve complex booking discrepancies from advisors, investors, and the trading desk, owning updates end to end.
- Apply and maintain current knowledge of standard operating procedures; document and report any deviations.
- Escalate potential business risk incidents promptly and collaborate to mitigate root causes.
- Maintain complete records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes to support audit and control requirements.
- Partner across operations, technology, and front office teams to drive effective, timely issue resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives and adopt best practices to strengthen the control environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders to set expectations and provide status updates.
- Uphold a client‑focused mindset in all activities while meeting service level objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5 years of experience in trading services, trade support, or middle office roles supporting derivatives operations.
- Working knowledge of front‑to‑back operations processes, including documentation, confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Understanding of derivatives and hedging products such as interest rate swaps, basis swaps, cross‑currency swaps, forward rate agreements, foreign exchange, zero‑coupon and overnight index swaps, bonds, and futures.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess issues and define next best actions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high‑volume, time‑sensitive workflows.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with operations controls, risk frameworks, and timely incident escalation.
- Hands‑on exposure to trading or risk platforms such as Murex.
- Familiarity with documentation standards and regulations, including International Swaps and Derivatives Association documentation and United States derivatives rules.
- Track record of delivering process improvements or automation in operational environments.
- Experience supporting private banking or wealth management client flows.
- Knowledge of settlements and regulatory reporting for over‑the‑counter derivatives.
- Continuous improvement mindset with adaptability to evolving processes and requirements.
