Job summary
As a Middle Office Trading Services Associate in the Currencies and Emerging Markets (CEM) Exotics & Hybrids team, you will play a key role in supporting our multi-asset class trading desk. You help us maintain accurate transaction records, perform reconciliation checks, and ensure robust controls. This opportunity allows you to build deep expertise in trading structures and collaborate across teams to drive process improvements.
Job responsibilities
- Capture all transactions accurately and promptly in Risk Management Systems
- Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including reconciliation checks
- Support new trading activity and general book management
- Collaborate with Operations and infrastructure groups to foster a 'one team' approach
- Perform, complete, and sign off all controls diligently and on time
- Communicate clearly and concisely with support teams to resolve queries efficiently
- Participate in strategic initiatives to improve processes and business architecture
- Build in-depth understanding of trading structures from financial and operational perspectives
- Facilitate issue resolution across teams
- Contribute to a collaborative and evolving work environment
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and ownership in all tasks
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Clear communication skills with ability to collaborate, explain, and challenge
- Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a pressurized and changing environment
- Strong problem-solving, control, and project management skills
- Technical proficiency in Excel
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a middle office or trade support role
- Knowledge of derivatives and hedging products (Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Forward Rate Agreements, FX Spot, FX Forwards, FX Options, Bonds, Futures, Repos, CDS)
- Understanding of front-to-back Operations processes (confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting)
- Familiarity with infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, Collateral)
- Experience facilitating issue resolution across teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with digital tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- Technical skills in VBA
- Prior exposure to EMEA & LATAM markets
- Experience contributing to strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
- Experience in a multi-asset class trading environment
- Advanced Excel skills
