Job Summary

As a Vice President - Securities Reconciliation within Securities Operations, you will own end-to-end securities reconciliation activities across asset classes and legal entities. You will ensure accurate matching, timely break resolution, and robust risk and control practices while managing aged items and escalations. You will also lead strategic transformation initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce manual touchpoints and improve straight-through processing

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily securities reconciliations across markets and legal entities with disciplined controls.
  • Ensure timely identification, investigation, and resolution of position and transaction breaks.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and implement sustainable remediation plans.
  • Maintain a strong operational risk and control framework aligned to audit expectations.
  • Govern aging breaks, exceptions, and escalation processes to minimize client impact.
  • Lead and develop high-performing reconciliation teams; set clear goals and coach managers/AVPs.
  • Partner with Front/Middle Office, Custody, Product Control, Technology, and Operations leadership.
  • Act as senior escalation point for critical breaks and client-impacting issues.
  • Communicate concise risk, health, and performance updates to senior management.
  • Identify automation opportunities and process optimizations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Technology to enhance reconciliation platforms, data quality, and STP rates.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years in securities operations/reconciliation within investment banking or global markets.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the securities lifecycle and custody processes.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in position and transaction reconciliations across asset classes.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of risk, controls, and regulatory expectations with audit alignment.
  • Lead global teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and operational change to improve efficiency and control.
  • Exhibit advanced analytical problem-solving and executive-level communication skills.

  • Leverage experience with reconciliation platforms and data transformation initiatives.
  • Use Alteryx and Tableau to automate reporting, analytics, and visualization.
  • Strengthen data quality through governance, validation rules, and exception monitoring.
  • Build scalable MIS and KPI dashboards for proactive performance management.
  • Coordinate platform enhancements with Technology using agile delivery practices.
  • Champion straight-through processing improvements to reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Produce clear, executive-ready reporting on risks, trends, and remediation progress.
