Technology Support III, Prime Finance and Clearing Production Management Support

As a Technology Support Associate in the Corporate and Investment Banking Technology, Prime Finance & Clearing Production Management Support team, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production services across APAC. You will support Prime Finance functions including locates management, inventory management, borrow/return optimization, synthetic prime, client reporting, and other Prime Brokerage activities across a complex, integrated application suite. This role partners closely with Technology and Business stakeholders to drive timely analysis and resolution of day-to-day issues, safe and reliable daily releases, effective incident/crisis management, and strong adherence to Risk & Controls.
Job responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for Front and Middle Office applications to ensure stability.
- Support end-to-end trade lifecycle applications (locates, trade booking, synthetic trade booking).
- Build strong partnerships across Production Management (APAC/global), Business, and Technology stakeholders.
- Partner with Application Development (AD) teams to implement fixes that improve stability, reduce risk, and minimize manual touches to production.
- Define and track capacity and resiliency metrics; strengthen failover and BCP capabilities.
- Enhance observability and monitoring for the trading application suite; proactively detect and remediate issues.
- Manage production incidents end-to-end, including timely engagement, escalation, and communications to business, technology, and vendor partners.
- Drive detailed post‑mortems with AD; track follow‑ups in ServiceNow for Problem Management.
- Engage throughout the SDLC to ensure smooth onboarding of new applications into Production.
- Plan, review, and execute application change releases with Business, AD, and QA to minimize change-related incidents (including weekend release/DR activities).
- Uphold firm Risk & Controls standards across incident, change, and problem management processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Formal training or certification in production support experience in the financial services industry with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Product knowledge in stock borrow/loan and synthetic prime brokerage.
- Strong experience supporting trade booking platforms.
- Excellent SQL and stored procedure skills; experience with Sybase and Oracle.
- Proficiency in Linux/UNIX.
- Scripting skills in Perl and Shell.
- Hands-on experience with ITRS monitoring and observability practices.
- Understanding of networking, connectivity, and low-latency trading environments.
- Strong software/business systems design, analysis, development, and support skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; clear English communication; ability to prioritize and perform under pressure with high attention to detail and an ownership/leadership mindset.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience participating in disaster recovery testing and weekend release activities.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Problem Management workflows.
- Experience enhancing monitoring and observability for trading applications.
- Exposure to automation initiatives that reduce manual tasks and improve production stability.
