Technical Project Manager III - Payments Latam

As a Technical Project Manager in Payments Technology, you will lead complex technology projects and programs that advance business objectives and modernize the firm's product offerings. You will apply your broad technical expertise to develop innovative solutions, manage resources and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Your analytical skills and adaptability will help you navigate ambiguity and drive change. By building strong relationships with stakeholders and clients, you will contribute to the firm's growth and success.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential for driving outcomes and managing risks in accordance with firm policies. The ideal candidate is execution-focused, takes ownership of results, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to multitask, manage shifting priorities, work independently, and quickly analyze information to generate actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Break Down Complex Objectives: Analyze and decompose complex business, technical, and operational goals into actionable tasks, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Use advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement data-driven optimizations for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Agile & Innovation Leadership: Champion agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
  • Technical Solution Delivery: Contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions, including identifying key technologies or platforms and managing vendor relationships.
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize allocation of people, budget, and technology resources to effectively plan, schedule, and advance project and program initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams and clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Support risk management by making informed decisions in accordance with the firm's policies, ensuring project success and regulatory compliance.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Advanced analytical skills to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Agile Methodologies & Innovation: Demonstrated experience championing agile practices and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within teams.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification required and a minimum of 5 years in project management with a strong understanding of technology and exposure to financial services.
  • Leadership & Relationship Management: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to senior management.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Portuguese
