Techical Program Manager - Senior Associate

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Research & Analytics Engineering Team, you will be a hands-on Delivery lead /Business Analyst/Agility expert partnering with Product and Engineering to understand Research Product features, convert business specification into technical JIRAs with robust test and user acceptance plans, manage dependencies, risks before they turn into issues with razor focus on delivery.
This is not a project administrator role.
You will also ensure that all projects and programs comply with Risk, Architecture, and other firm-wide guidelines including cyber hygiene - vulnerability management.
You will own the governance for your product suite and communicate with executive leadership.
Job responsibilities
- Lead Research Technology deliverables initiation to implementation
- Free up your stakeholders time so:
- Product Managers can focus on Producting
- Engineering can focus on architecture, design and development.
- Gather and size business product feature requests, size them with Engineering, draft a realistic delivery plan and execute against the plan
- Create the annual Book of Work (BoW) with Product, size the BoW with Engineering, break out the annul BOW into quarterly deliverables, further break down the quarterly BoW into sprints managing the available resources during the Sprint and quarter.
- Partner with your peer TPMs to deliver projects that have upstream and downstream dependencies with non-aligned timelines
- Hygiene: Ensure Application Owners comply with Vulnerability management their apps - close out breaks, upgrade software and packages to supported versions
- Highly desired skillset: Able to investigate on how to close out Hygiene (FARM) breaks and close out AOComms
- Run effective governance sessions - working groups and Steering committees to brief senior executives on progress, risks, Issues and dependencies.
- Lead medium to large-sized teams within the software development lifecycle and adopt the fast growing A(gentic)DLC framework to accelerate delivery.
- May perform roles such as Scrum Master or Agile Coach
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong Technology background preferable with coding experience
- Delivery focused
- Expertise in Project Task Estimation and Resource Scheduling
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle, preferred exposure to A(gentic)DLC framework to accelerate delivery.
- Proficient at managing and mitigating risks, issues and dependencies
- Ability to draft annual, quarterly and sprint level delivery plans accounting for adequate resources applying T-shirt and Story point sizing for estimation
- Governance skills - running effective working groups to get diverse stakeholder to work together on a delivery plan and execute against it
- Strong Communication skills with ability to present key deliverables to senior executives at Steering Committees and able to explain progress, problems and seek help on blockers.
- Fluent in English
