Strategy Manager - Program Manager

As a Strategic Program Manager at JPMorganChase within the CDO Strategy and Execution team, you will deliver new and enhanced products, solutions, operating models, and processes aligned to data across the Firm. You will coordinate strategic initiatives from initiation to completion, partnering with Product and Technology teams and engaging stakeholders. Your role is critical in modernizing data management and governance practices and meeting regulatory commitments. You will help foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead strategic change initiatives with stakeholders across Product, Technology, lines of business, corporate functions, and external partners
  • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize requirements from lines of business, corporate functions, and firmwide stakeholders
  • Partner with Product and Technology to design solutions, define product roadmaps, and deliverables
  • Support business case development and funding acquisition for strategic programs
  • Provide governance and oversight, ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment, and deliver status updates
  • Identify and escalate potential roadblocks and emerging risks
  • Establish and drive PMO capabilities for large programs, ensuring effective governance, reporting, and stakeholder management
  • Develop and implement standardized project management processes, tools, and templates for consistency and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain program reporting and metrics, and communicate progress to senior executives
  • Coach team members and contribute to broader group objectives

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 8+ years of industry experience in program or project management delivering large-scale strategic or transformational programs in complex organizations
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change through new capabilities, products, or solutions
  • Expertise in program governance and advanced project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) with hands-on experience in enterprise planning, execution, and tracking tools
  • Proven ability to manage tight timelines and multiple high-impact deliverables with strong prioritization and risk management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with ability to drive alignment across senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and customer-centric mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Skilled in management and status reporting, delivering clear, actionable messages and insights to leadership and steering committees
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to strengthen execution and team effectiveness
  • Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving orientation and ability to address diverse, cross-functional challenges
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and other project management tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in a data and analytics organization with understanding of data and analytics processes and data governance practices
  • Familiarity with data lineage, classification, and lifecycle management concepts
  • Technical understanding of data management, governance, big data platforms, and data architecture
  • Familiarity with program management and collaboration tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms
  • MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program
