Strategic Sales Business Development Representative - Payments
You are passionate about delivering solutions to clients, and have experience in relationship management within payments.
As a Strategic Sales Business Development Representative within our Merchant Services team, you will be a strategic thinker, passionate about delivering payment solutions to clients. You will leverage your experience in relationship management within Payments to sell our services to both new and existing clients. This role provides an opportunity to communicate with key decision-makers at various levels and propose solutions from our payment solution portfolio. Your strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task will be crucial in this fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Largely reactive role that can execute against various initiatives freeing up proactive capacity within the SMB Sales Organization
- Perform with a nimble approach to execute against various front book and back book initiatives
- Lead nurturing campaigns in partnership with Marketing (unable to contact/stale leads)
- Handle inbound leads for marketing experiments - triage and perhaps convert to an opportunity for sales team in some cases, or work the opportunity in others (e.g., new populations, complicated offers)
- Cultivate relationships with existing merchants to create testimonial opportunities
- Set up merchant accounts for small business clients that need to accept credit cards as a form of payments
- Help to craft the onboarding experience that sales will use to onboard new merchants, key stakeholder in the development of our new payment platform
- Execute on future product pilots prior to general availability
- Learn about Value Added Services offerings as they become available and cross sell them into the existing merchant book of business to add revenue, increase loyalty and reduce client attrition
- Manage multiple prospects/customers and different stages of sales funnel and decrease time to revenue
- Participate in an active feedback loop with sales leadership, marketing, product, and commercialization to prove out effectiveness of various products and programs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience and/or Bachelor degree.
- Strong telesales, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple sales programs simultaneously.
- Quick retention of training information for accurate application.
- Advocate for process improvement and proactive in providing feedback.
- Innovative thinker and agent of change.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and focused.
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM and managing a sales pipeline.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Experience in merchant services sales, relationship management, or banking
