Strategic Analytics [Multiple Positions Available]
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Analyze emerging fraud and scam trends and recommend mitigating actions. Develop new fraud and scam- fighting products by designing requirements. Work with technical business partners to implement these products using an agile design methodology. Develop new creative solutions to challenges presented by fraud and scam activity, leveraging outside-the-box thinking. Interpret machine learning model outputs into business strategies and conveying to operations. Work with technology teams to build out cutting-edge solutions, product teams to refine product offerings and controls to better reduce fraud and scams, and operations to ensure frontline agents are reacting to the latest fraud/scam trends. Manipulate and understand large amounts of complex data to monitor and uncover behaviors and trends in fraudulent and scam activity. Communicate complex data into a clear story to team members and senior leaders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of fraud and scam risk strategies. Ensure strategic compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Monitor the ongoing performance of existing rules and strategies and recommend adjustment and enhancement opportunities. Build automated reporting solutions to track ongoing strategy performance and emerging fraud and scam trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Fraud Data Analytical Officer, Data Analyst, SQL Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following fields: Risk Management such as Fraud Risk Management or Credit Risk Management, Data Science including Modeling, Machine Learning and AI, and Data Visualization and Reporting, or Strategic Analytics such as Marketing or Payment Analytics. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Interpreting account-level or transaction-level datasets at US based Consumer Banking institutions to evaluate their impact on operational and financial areas in uncovering fraudulent patterns and behaviors; Creating and defending storyboards, and designing and developing interactive reports using Excel and PowerPoint advanced functionalities including LOOKUP, index match, data analysis add-ons, Pivot Tables, VBA, and VBScript to present insights from fraud analysis to both analytic and non-analytic stakeholders; Detecting fraud patterns using statistical concepts, data analysis techniques and machine learning methods including logistic regression, multivariate regression, classification techniques, and predictive modeling; Designing and analyzing experiments to test hypotheses related to fraud detection and prevention, ensuring robust and reliable results; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, and query optimization to enhance the identification of fraudulent activities using Python, SAS, R, and SQL.
