As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your expertise and contributions will promote significant business impact, as you apply your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day execution of AI initiatives, ensuring agents and platform features are delivered on time and with impact.
  • Partner with the Technical Product Owner to manage backlog priorities, sprint planning, and team velocity.
  • Clear delivery blockers, coordinate across architects, developers, and pods, and maintain delivery cadence.
  • Track and report progress, risks, and outcomes to the Head of AI and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technology execution through demos, reviews, and adoption tracking.
  • Build a culture of accountability, speed, and continuous improvement within the AI delivery team.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Lead to ensure delivery adheres to governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Support business and technology stakeholders in identifying, shaping, and executing high-value AI initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience in program or delivery management in technology, data, or AI domains
  • Proven track record for leading cross-functional teams (engineering, product, architecture) to deliver complex initiatives
  • Experience in vendor evaluation and managing vendor relationship, POCs, and integrations,
  • Strong background in agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models), Agile backlog and sprint planning
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable delivery plans
  • Skilled at removing blockers, prioritizing effectively, and driving momentum
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - abile to engage both business and technology leaders
  • Adept at progress tracking, reporting, and risk management
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, platforms, and enterprise adoption challenges
  • Delivery & program management
