Spanish Legal Translation Analyst

As a Spanish Legal Translation Analyst on our Digital Products & Experience Legal Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our businesses and Chase customers by ensuring that Spanish translations of digital content, product materials, and legal agreements are accurate and legally compliant. You'll join a high-performing, collaborative team that advises the Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) business partners on areas including CCB's digital channels, communications, as well as legal agreements related to Chase's products and digital offerings. Your translation expertise will help ensure that Spanish-language content faithfully reflects the intent of the original material and meets all relevant legal standards. This is a high-impact role in a rapidly evolving area that is a strategic priority for the firm.

The position will be located in: Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review Spanish translations of digital content, materials related to banking products, legal agreements, and other relevant documents to ensure legal accuracy and that the intended meaning is clearly and appropriately conveyed.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the business team responsible for digital Spanish content.
  • Identify and appropriately escalate risks and concerns related to products, services, projects, or other initiatives.
  • Foster strong collaboration between the teams supporting the Digital Products & Experience Team and other centers of excellence within CCB and across JPMorganChase.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting Spanish-language digital content and consumer communications.
  • Support the development and implementation of processes and best practices for Spanish translation review and legal standards compliance.
  • Contribute to training and awareness initiatives for business partners regarding legal and linguistic considerations in Spanish-language content.
  • Participate in legal department and cross-business initiatives and projects, providing expertise and support on matters related to Spanish-language content as needed by the Digital Products & Experience Team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Sworn translator degree.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with proven ability to listen actively and drive results both independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, supported by effective time management and organizational skills.
  • A natural ability and inclination to think and act collaboratively and as a strong team player.
  • Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in utilizing workflow tools and systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, including legal and non-legal professionals.
  • Capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and client-focused, with a strong sense of integrity and dedication to protecting the reputation of the firm.
  • Perseverance and patience to navigate ambiguity and see matters through to completion.
  • All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
