Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Engineer scalable, resilient, secure, and supportable Kubernetes services across public and private cloud providers. Automating Infrastructure-as-code. Automating CI/CD using tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD. Automate the installation, upgrade, scaling, and management of a large and rapidly growing fleet of both on-prem and public cloud deployment (e.g., AWS EKS) of Kubernetes clusters. Develop custom platform control plane webhooks, CRDs and operators and more that provide a secure opinionated platform. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Serve as the engineering point of escalation to identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take an active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned with pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, DevOps Consultant, DC Solution Specialist, Sr. Analyst/Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, DevOps Consultant, DC Solution Specialist, Sr. Analyst/Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Automating Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bash Shell-Scripting, and Helm; developing software utilities and components for the Kubernetes platform using Python; following Agile SDLC to deliver quality code using GIT and Jira; building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; designing, architecting, and engineering scalable, resilient, secure, and supportable Kubernetes services across public and private cloud providers including AWS EKS.
