Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 6 years (72 months) in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires six (6) years of experience with the following: Test-Driven Development and Behavior- Driven Development within Agile environments; CSS preprocessors including SASS and LESS; CSS organization methodologies including BEM, OOCSS, and SMACSS; Ext JS; jQuery; profiling, optimizing, and tuning memory and CPU usage; Core Java; AWS PaaS architecture; designing and developing front-end user interfaces for complex cloud-native applications; implementing UI components that translate mockups into high-quality software with a seamless user experience; collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to understand user needs, strategies, and business goals and then transforming into actionable requirements; designing and developing UI software products with a focus on inclusion and accessibility principles, ensuring a user-friendly experience for all users; creating clean, efficient, and reusable JavaScript code, integrating HTML and CSS, and adhering to best practices and modern coding standards; deployment using CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools including Git, SVN, and Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment processes. This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: utilizing branching strategies, pull request workflows, and code versioning tools such as Git for efficient collaboration and code management. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: ES6; TypeScript; Redux; webpack; Yarn; npm; J2EE; Spring; developing wireframes and mockups for data-driven visualizations using tools including Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, and Mockup tools; managing state and props; handling events to build responsive Uls using ReactJS and leveraging libraries including ReactJS and jQuery; consuming REST APIs and utilizing modern libraries including Axios and Fetch for efficient data retrieval and manipulation; Full-stack development with API development using technologies such as Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems; working with data models and databases; utilizing modern databases such as Cassandra for efficient data storage and retrieval.
