Software Engineer III - ServiceNow

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Custom applications and solutions based on business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow modules, workflows, and integrations to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Maintain and update ServiceNow documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • ServiceNow certification(s) is mandatory - specifically CAD
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and development tools.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
    • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

    • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in ServiceNow
    • Proficient in coding in JavaScript/ Glidescript or any UI based scripting
    • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment within ServiceNow
    • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
    • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
    • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within ServiceNow
