Social Media Manager, Philadelphia - The Infatuation
Join The Infatuation's growing social media team and help bring our editorial voice to life on Instagram and TikTok. You will create social-first content that reflects Philadelphia's dining culture and connects with our community.
As a Social Media Manager in The Infatuation Editorial team, you create social video and graphics that extend our editorial voice across social platforms. You manage day-to-day publishing for Philadelphia social channels while partnering with local editorial, marketing, and other city teams on special projects and events. You use performance insights and platform trends to refine content strategy and grow engagement.
Job responsibilities
- Work closely with the Philadelphia writer and editor to build a robust social content calendar, produce major content moments, and translate editorial ideas into social content for Instagram and TikTok
- Create social-first content as well as collaborate with the local writer and editor to bring concepts to life on social, providing strategy and format suggestions, along with creative and visual direction
- Write and record scripts for social voiceovers that are engaging, social-friendly, and display a thorough understanding of The Infatuation brand voice
- Capture high-quality video and photo content from restaurants, both independently, and in partnership with editorial team members and freelance photographers
- Produce and edit short-form video content in CapCut and Build carousel assets using branded templates in Canva
- Consistently deliver content calendars on time and maintain weekly output set by Social Content Director
- Manage daily posting responsibilities for Instagram and TikTok handles
- Present monthly reporting insights and use performance data to adjust social strategy as needed
- Update Linktree page on an as-needed basis to support site traffic goals
- Pitch social concepts based on your knowledge of Philadelphia's restaurant scene and what you're seeing pop on social
- Collaborate with internal Marketing, Talent, Events, and Chase teams to create content around Infatuation-specific campaigns

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in the content creation, social media, or brand marketing, specifically Instagram and TikTok
- Exceptional in capturing high-quality food photos/videos using an iPhone
- Excellent short-form vertical video editor and producer, well-versed in apps such as CapCut and Canva
- Capable of writing copy and voiceover scripts in line with The Infatuation's brand voice
- Fantastic at working with others and contributes positively to team culture
- Curiosity and passion for Philadelphia's dining, bar, and social culture, as well as dining culture at large
- Highly engaged with social media platforms and deeply in tune with internet/TikTok culture to integrate timely trends, i.e. memes, TikTok trending sounds, app updates, new platform features, etc. and a basic understanding of social performance metrics to optimize content and grow engagement
- Comfortable on camera and enthusiastic about being a face of the brand, with your unique personality and sense of humor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once

- Deep sense of Philadelphia's culture, history, and communities
- Familiar with the city's restaurant scene and enthusiastic about celebrating the diversity of cuisines within it
- Big personality that translates in copy and on screen
- Detail-oriented, can't stand typos
- Ability to take feedback well and work in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders
- Familiar with The Infatuation as a brand and how we differentiate ourselves from competitors
- Experience with social media planning and scheduling platforms such as Linktree, Sprinklr, Linktree, and Asana
