As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team which is aligned to Enterprise Technology Division, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

• Apply analytical skills & mindset to technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Design and deliver market-leading technology products in a secure and scalable way as a seasoned member of an agile team
• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Understand software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, software improvement, architecture and design across all systems
• Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals .

• A strong Team Player
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and minimum 13 years of applied experience
• Strong problem solver and can suggest multiple solutions for a problem.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Full Stack Developer with strong skills in front end ( 70% Front End / 30% backend )
• Genuine experience in programming/coding and passionate about delivering best applications to production.
• Hands on UI experience working on ReactJS and Redux, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ECMA5/6 and UI Frameworks
• Hands on Server side experience in Java, JEE, Spring, Springboot, REST, Junit, Integration testing, BDD & Testing
• Expert in one or more programming language(s)
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Practical cloud native experience
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

• Engineering Degree in Computer Science
• Strong interest in experimenting & implementing AI solutions
• Strong experience in Agile and Test Driven Methodologies
• Experience of building, deploying and managing application in 1 cloud environment, preferably AWS
