You'll have the opportunity to define what great data analysis looks like, promote a culture of data-driven decision making, and make a real impact by partnering with product management and engineering to deliver insights that steer business outcomes. Job Summary:

As a Senior Data Analyst in the platform team, you will own our data-as-a-product strategy from start to finish. You'll collaborate with product management, engineering, and senior stakeholders to build dashboards, queries, and reports, monitor KPIs, and translate business requirements into data outcomes. You'll define and implement best practices for data analysis, manage the data analysis backlog, and champion data-driven decision making across the department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build dashboards, queries, and insight reports for senior stakeholders
  • Monitor department KPIs and deliver actionable insights
  • Collaborate across teams to interpret requirements into data outcomes
  • Define, implement, and manage a new data discipline in the department
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision making
  • Own the data analysis backlog and strategy for maximizing data value
  • Automate and scale data operations and reporting
  • Lead end-to-end data projects from requirements to implementation and monitoring
  • Translate business problems and customer requirements into data features
  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and leadership to influence decisions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proficiency with dbt, BigQuery or similar, Looker Studio Pro, Airflow or similar, pandas/polars, numpy
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex queries
  • Python proficiency for data modelling and manipulation
  • Experience with BI platforms for dashboards and data storytelling
  • Strong data visualization and dashboard design skills
  • Experience working with large datasets from diverse sources
  • Strong statistical analysis, regression, SQL, and ETL skills
  • Ability to develop and validate hypotheses via A/B testing, forecasting, etc.
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, data quality, and controls
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics)
  • Experience with cloud-native platform infrastructure (GCP, AWS)
  • Experience in financial services
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning fundamental
