Senior Associate - Valuations - Risk Administration

As a Senior Associate in Commercial Real Estate Risk Administration supporting the Valuation Services Group, you will own key risk administration processes and workflows. You will improve efficiency and strengthen control execution through disciplined delivery management, data validation, and process automation using a range of applications and tools.

Job responsibilities

  • Own assigned risk administration workflows and controls (e.g., access and user profile administration; Alteryx workflow execution and monitoring; operational reporting), including process documentation, execution, monitoring, and evidence capture.
  • Support senior management in technology initiatives, working groups, and oversight forums by preparing materials, gathering inputs, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation by documenting current-state processes, assessing pain points and risks, proposing solutions, and supporting rollout and adoption.
  • Translate business needs into clear, testable business requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria for reporting and data changes.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliations using SQL and Excel, and leverage tools such as Alteryx and Tableau (or similar) to confirm reporting accuracy and data integrity.
  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new valuation reporting requests and enhancements, including test planning, validation, defect triage, and closure tracking.
  • Support root-cause analysis and remediation by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and tracking issue escalations with reporting and technology partners through resolution.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials summarizing key metrics, project status, risks/issues, and recommended actions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business analysis, data analytics, economics, accounting, finance, information systems, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Intermediate SQL skills for validation and troubleshooting; strong Excel skills for reconciliations, exception analysis, and test support.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear, testable requirements for reporting and/or data solutions (requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria).
  • Hands-on experience coordinating and/or performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for reporting solutions, including defect tracking through closure.
  • Experience operating in a control and process oversight environment (documentation, monitoring, issue escalation, remediation tracking).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong execution discipline with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proficiency with automation and business intelligence tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) to strengthen reporting reliability and improve operational efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of intelligent automation and analytics platforms (e.g., Pega, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, UiPath, Signavio, or similar).
  • PMP (or equivalent project management certification).
  • Knowledge of databases, data querying, and enterprise data management concepts.
  • Track record partnering with technology teams using structured delivery methods (e.g., Agile, backlog grooming, release planning).
  • Exposure to Commercial Real Estate valuation concepts and/or CRE risk administration processes.
  • Strong process documentation skills (SOPs, workflow mapping, control narratives).
  • History of advancing operational improvements through change management and consistent stakeholder communication.
