Senior Associate - Global Banking Central P&A
The GB Finance Analytics team partners closely with business managers, strategy, and other finance teams to deliver comprehensive business and financial analytics for Global Banking and its various segments and industries. The team also supports the creation of analyses for public disclosures related to business strategy, financial performance, and industry trends, which are featured in the Firm's Investor Day and industry conference presentations.
As a Senior Associate in the Global Banking Central Planning & Analysis team, you play a key role in delivering financial analysis and insights that drive business strategy. You collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to solve complex problems and support decision-making. You help us turn data into actionable recommendations, foster a culture of innovation, and contribute to our shared success. Your work matters to our clients, our team, and the wider firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and review financial models and analyses for recurring and ad-hoc needs
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on key business issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Prepare and consolidate presentation materials for senior management, focusing on actionable items and key takeaways
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver insights on business trends, financial performance, and market strategy
- Present qualitative and quantitative financial analysis to internal clients and support special projects
- Partner with Analytics and Reporting teams to create insightful reporting and drive data-driven decision-making
- Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced analytics across the team
- Synthesize large data sets and communicate key findings clearly
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues across teams
- Demonstrate initiative and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of bank balance sheets and profit & loss statements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex data and present clear, actionable insights
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or Accounting
- Prior experience with Essbase or similar financial systems
- Track record of preparing executive-level presentations with a focus on key takeaways
- Exposure to process improvement and automation initiatives
- Experience supporting senior management decision-making
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and challenges the status quoeaways.
