Senior Associate, Financial Analysis - Global Technology
The Global Technology Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization provides executive financial oversight for the firm's 68,000 technology resources and ~$20B technology investment portfolio. Our team partners across the firm on a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, performance and business-metric analysis, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the Line of Business CFOs on opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
As a Senior Associate on the FP&A team, you will be responsible for supporting strategic programs and initiatives within the Resource Management group under Global Technology FP&A. This role requires strong analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large data sets and communicate clear, concise insights. You have have strong project management, planning and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication and a solid foundation in business management.
You will partner closely with Firmwide FP&A and financial and business leaders across Global Technology to help define and implement a strategic resource management plan. You will also help build and scale headcount reporting metrics and dashboards to deliver timely, decision-useful insights to senior management. You must be results-oriented, demonstrates strong ownership and follow-through, and is comfortable in navigating ambiguity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the analysis, preparation, and reconciliation of financial and technical data to produce accurate, high-quality reporting
- Deliver recurring management reporting and ad hoc analysis to support leadership decision-making
- Build, enhance, and automate reports and dashboards to improve speed, transparency and consistency of insights
- Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers, trend changes, risks and opportunities, providing clear narrative and executive-level commentary
- Monitor key metrics and help drive data quality initiatives across the product area; help define future reporting and analytics needs
- Provide meaningful analytics (e.g. run-rate, trend and risk signals) to support projections and resource strategy discussions
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance controls through automation and process improvements
- Maintain and enhance financial and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and consistent definitions
- Support special projects and cross team initiatives as needed; coordinate stakeholders and drive work to closure

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 4+ years of finance and/or program management experience in financial services, investment banking, consulting or strategy, with demonstrated impact on technology finance decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and communicate conclusions clearly and concisely
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; strong ability to produce executive-ready materials that accelerate decision-making in leadership forums
- Experience leveraging automation and business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau) to building scalable reporting and dashboards (including drill-downs and scenario toggles where applicable)
- Experience with analytics and data wrangling tools such as Python, SQL and Alteryx
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to senior stakeholders
- Strong organization and prioritization skills; proven ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing and partnering skills across functions in a global environment
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative to drive outcomes
- Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset; willingness to learn new technologies and innovate
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Prior experience in resource reporting and technology organizations
- Highly self-motivated; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Proven track record of creating streamlined, automated reporting that improves decision velocity, transparency and governance
- Familiarity with tools/platforms such as Anaplan, Databricks, Atoti, Sigma, SharePoint, and PitchPro.
