As a Senior Product Designer & Associate within the Biometric Payments team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and driving ongoing success. You will lead the design and optimization of biometric payment solutions, integrating user-centered research and insights throughout the product lifecycle. This position requires a strong ability to work autonomously, demonstrate leadership within cross-functional teams, and articulate your experience in driving projects independently. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Experience Researchers, and Content Designers to conceptualize, structure, and deliver innovative user experiences.
Job responsibilities
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
- Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
- Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure work.
- Ideate and prototype to explore innovative solutions, including unexpected but workable options.
- Diagram product ecosystem interactivity, including omnichannel service and feature interactions, using user flows and wireframes.
- Deliver detailed UI designs built upon our Design System, bringing solutions to life.
- Present work and connect design decisions to desired business impact.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 4+ years of experience in product management, product design, or a relevant domain area, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface, User Experience Design), certification from a credible bootcamp, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, plan and structure work independently, and articulate your experience in driving projects with minimal supervision.
- Advanced skills in Interaction Design and either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping.
- Proficient knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including discovery, requirements definition, and data analytics.
- Experience collaborating within design teams and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Ability to demonstrate how technical constraints and opportunities have informed your design solutions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices.
- Experience shipping multiple successful digital products using user- and human-centered design approaches.
- Familiarity with biometric authentication methods, including their benefits, limitations, and user acceptance factors.
- Previous experience designing payment terminal experiences.
