Senior Agility Associate - Firmwide Core Deposit Platform
Join our dynamic team to advance agile methodologies, fostering innovation and high-quality solution delivery in a collaborative environment. The Firmwide Core Deposits Platform (FCDP) serves as the US deposits ledger for all lines of business who offer a checking, savings or certificate of deposit (CDS) account. Our primary mission is to safeguard and calculate the balances for the ~72MM accounts in this portfolio. We accomplish this by processing transactions, managing interest, generating statements, maintaining account lifecycles, completing annual tax and FDIC tasks, and delivering key strategic initiatives.
As an Agility Senior Associate in the Firmwide Core Deposits Platform team, you will contribute to the team by guiding and supporting solution delivery teams in adopting and adapting agile practices throughout the product development lifecycle. Leveraging your advanced knowledge of agile principles you will facilitate group discussions, decision-making processes, and collaborative activities to build continuous improvement and high performance. Your expertise in coaching, communication, and leadership will enable you to effectively manage complex projects, foster a culture of innovation, and enable the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
As the primary coach to the product/tech teams, you will champion continuous improvement, systems thinking, and encourage an environment that fosters autonomy, mastery, & purpose. You will leverage your expertise to influence product/technology ways of working and shape the operational and business improvement of the product, all the while empowering teams to deliver in the face of evolving requirements and priorities.
Job responsibilities
- Facilitate the adoption and adaptation of agile methodologies within teams and provide guidance, training, and support to propel continuous improvement and high performance
- Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
- Enable agile project delivery by facilitating the prioritization of tasks and managing resources to effectively address complex situations to achieve project goals
- Analyze and interpret policies, identify key barriers, and apply your critical thinking skills to address challenges within the product development lifecycle
- Work with the Area Product Owner/Product Manager to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
- Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
- Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instill the same in the teams you coach
- Coach product owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
- Appreciate the depths of Lean and Agile practices and principles, help teams appreciate them
- Teach systems thinking and servant leadership
- Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, conflict management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on guiding teams to adopt agile methodologies and practices
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices
- Demonstrate proficiency in facilitating group discussions, decision-making processes, and collaborative activities within teams to achieve product goals
- Showcase proficiency in agile delivery and agile approaches, with a developing ability to coach teams and strive for continuous improvement and high performance
- Experience working in a scaled implementation of Scrum (LeSS, SAFe, etc.).
- Demonstrate proficiency cultivating relationships
- Demonstrate a proficiency in coaching and mentoring development teams and their supporting roles including Area Product Owners and Area Tech partners
- Clear oral and written communicator
- Ability to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve the team(s)
- Ability to provide coverage support for 3-4 teams, adapting support based on team maturity and needs.
- Support onboarding and training for new users of agile tools and practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in teaching and supporting Quarterly planning activity.
- Possess an executive presence and ability to coach multiple teams across the product
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies
- Ability to leverage capabilities across the firm to solve local problems
- Experience in financial services or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive team environment.
