Securities Based Lending Analyst- Latin America

Job Summary
As a Securities Based Lending Analyst in the Latin America Securities Based Lending team, you handle high-volume credit transactions secured by marketable securities. You enhance the client experience by facilitating swift credit approvals and expediting loan documentation, focusing on credit worthiness and collateral evaluation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with lenders throughout the credit request lifecycle and portfolio management
  • Prepare client analysis prior to underwriting, including credit and collateral review
  • Review lines of credit annually and build recommendations for renewal or modification
  • Analyze client data across multiple systems and conduct preliminary credit reviews
  • Review loan documentation for accuracy and assist with documentation packages
  • Ensure documentation complies with federal and local regulations
  • Support swift credit approvals and delivery of loan documentation
  • Evaluate collateral holdings as part of the underwriting process
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Learn about financial derivatives, investments, and wealth advisory capabilities
  • Complete projects with limited supervision

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and asset vehicles (Mutual Funds, Equities, Fixed Income, Municipals)
  • Interest in structuring credit transactions
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to learn about financial derivatives and investments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese and English
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in credit analysis or lending
  • Familiarity with Latin American financial regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling
  • Experience with wealth management operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience supporting high-volume credit transactions
