Risk Management and Compliance Business Resiliency Associate
Job Description:
The Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) Resiliency function is committed to safeguarding employees, clients, and shareholder interests by ensuring the continuity of critical business operations during any physical disruption. This function provides a formal, centralized framework for enterprise-wide oversight of the control environment and partners closely with firmwide Business Resiliency and Line of Business resiliency teams to deliver integrated and effective resiliency strategies.
As an Associate within the RM&C Business Resiliency team, you will drive comprehensive resiliency planning and execution, ensuring the organization can withstand and rapidly recover from disruptions. Your efforts will protect customers, the firm, and the integrity of the broader market. You will collaborate across multiple teams to uphold firmwide standards, foster operational excellence, and strengthen the organization's overall resiliency posture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise and provide support to Corporate Risk Management & Compliance teams in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive Business Resiliency (BR) Plans.
- Lead and coordinate business participation in resiliency testing, ensuring completion in accordance with firmwide Business Resiliency standards .
- Oversee business resiliency compliance, ensuring that Resiliency Plans and tests adhere to all required standards and comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the execution of the RM&C Resiliency Crisis Management Framework as needed including coordinating response arrangements, incident management activities, after-action reviews, and information reporting.
- Proactively assess the effectiveness of resiliency planning assumptions and strategies, providing solution based leadership to mitigate potential gaps.
- Conduct thorough quality control reviews of resiliency plans to uphold high standards and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of resiliency information within relevant data systems to support effective metrics reporting.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5 plus years of professional experience in Controls Management, Project & Stakeholder Management, Project Management ; prior experience in Business Resiliency is an advantage
- Proactive and self-motivated professional, recognized for independently managing tasks and resolving issues with full accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, consistently delivering actionable insights that drive business outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx and Tableau is an advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; skilled at conveying complex concepts in clear, concise messages tailored to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across teams and organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results autonomously, consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of accountability.
- Deep controls awareness, supported by hands-on operational experience.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experienced in collaborating within regulatory, compliance, and operational frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives to reinforce governance and strengthen control frameworks.
- Agile and adaptable, able to respond quickly to evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
- Driven by intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
