Reporting & Automation - Retail Banking - Senior Associate

As a Reporting & Automation Senior Associate for the Consumer Bank, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile financial and business results, as well as develop and automate reports and processes to streamline operations and minimize cycle times. You will leverage advanced Excel skills and have a preference for experience with Python, VBA, and Alteryx to foster automation and process improvement. You will collaborate with peers and colleagues across the broader Consumer Bank Finance organization on special projects and reporting initiatives, delivering actionable insights and supporting business decision-making.
Job responsibilities
- Assist in National field performance financial analysis and reporting
- Develop, automate, and maintain reporting solutions using Excel, Python, VBA, and Alteryx to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate effectively across all Consumer & Community Banking field finance organizations, business/segment partners and other key partners (e.g. Compensation, HR, Legal, Controls, Risk)
- Conduct as-needed financial analysis based on senior management requests and develop presentation materials
- Manage the development and production of field performance reporting packages for Consumer Bank field leadership and Branch Banking divisional business management teams, focused on evaluating financial outcomes and branch and banker behavior trends
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation across reporting and analytics
- Maintain superior controls and resiliency standards

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance, Analytics or Process Improvement
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with data analytics, data mining/gathering, and manipulation of data sets; ability to present conclusions concisely
- Proficient in PowerPoint and reporting/presentation deck creation
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and planning skills
- Solutions-oriented and focused on continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced presentation skills
- Experience with process improvement and automation
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, with the ability to challenge peers constructively
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with Python, VBA, and Alteryx
- Proven ability to take initiative and achieve results
- Skilled and comfortable at working in a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time
- Business savvy and commercial judgment
