Enable Markets Trading by converting complex derivatives documentation into accurate, actionable reference data. Strengthen risk, controls, and compliance through expert review, issue resolution, and process improvement.

As a Reference Data Associate within Digital Document Services for the Markets Trading business, you will lead the review and extraction of legal and financial parameters from complex derivatives agreements to drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance. You will act as a subject matter expert, independently resolving high-impact issues and partnering with senior stakeholders across business, legal, credit, and technology. You will influence process improvements and help shape the operating framework for documentation management at JPMorganChase.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the review, analysis, and extraction of key parameters from complex legal agreements (ISDA, CSA, F&O, OTC, Prime Brokerage) to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver high-profile regulatory and client transfer projects (e.g., Pushout) with full ownership of outcomes, timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Resolve complex documentation and operational issues independently by assessing impact and partnering with senior contacts in credit, legal, business, and technology.
  • Improve documentation management processes by contributing to efficient operating frameworks, standards, and controls.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across lines of business, legal operations, and technology, providing clear guidance on documentation matters.
  • Mentor junior team members to reinforce best practices and drive productivity and quality expectations.
  • Monitor industry and regulatory developments and translate changes into updated documentation practices and sustained compliance.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
  • 8+ years experience in derivatives master agreements and trade-related documentation within investment banking or law firm environments
  • Deep knowledge of ISDA, CSA, F&O, OTC, Prime Brokerage documentation and relevant regulatory frameworks; ability to resolve complex issues independently
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders; proficiency in MS Office and documentation tools

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, LLM, or equivalent
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or initiatives in a global investment banking environment
  • Proven experience mentoring and developing junior team members in documentation operations
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in documentation management and regulatory compliance frameworks
