Job Summary

As a Python Data Operations Analyst within the Loan Data Operations team, you will perform critical support functions including data input, validation, reconciliation, and export of loan data files. You will collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to optimize operational workflows and develop automation solutions. Your role will focus on maintaining system integrity, supporting business migrations, and ensuring compliance with financial controls. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help promote operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily data input, validation, reconciliation, and export of loan data files
  • Conduct valuations for various portfolios and risk scenario runs for business end-users
  • Execute monthly User Acceptance Testing for portfolio business system migrations
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies through automation, simplification, and collaboration
  • Maintain system variables in accordance with business requirements
  • Work collaboratively with internal team members and business stakeholders
  • Develop automation solutions to optimize and reduce manual processes
  • Maintain procedures, tools, guidelines, and controls to ensure financial data integrity
  • Support loan servicing, pricing, bulk sales, trading, and securitizations
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to drive positive results
  • Manage and deploy intelligent systems or solutions for operational workflows

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • College degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Excel with Visual Basic, Project, Visio, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum one year of programming experience with data extraction, manipulation, and visualization tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx, Python)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Mortgage Banking concepts
  • Adherence to business and industry practices
  • Experience in business operations and procedures
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands and tight timelines
  • Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in managing and deploying intelligent systems or solutions
  • Proficiency in project management for intelligent solutions

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with loan servicing, pricing, bulk sales, trading, and securitizations
  • Experience with automation and process optimization in financial operations
  • Advanced skills in data visualization and reporting tools
  • Background in collaborating with cross-functional teams
