Product Controller [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Reporting internal and external requirements including variance and trend analysis on financial reports, including preparation of various daily P&L analysis and position reports on financial performance detailing various P&L attributes. Ensure completeness and accuracy of hedge documentation for hedge compliance. Responsible for month-end process to ensure books and records of the bank are accurate. Perform periodic testing to ensure that hedge relationships are highly effective and continue eligibility for the specialized accounting treatment. Implement operational improvements and resolve productions issues by working closely with Technology teams by detailing reporting requirements and using various quantitative methods and modelling techniques to ensure accuracy of financial records. Perform ad-hoc projects and requests including roll out of new strategies in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Quantitative Modeling, Finance or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Product Controller, Accountant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Quantitative Modeling, Finance or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Controller, Accountant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: performing financial accounting in investments in debt and equity securities applying rules under Statements of Financial accounting Standards No. 115; performing financial accounting in derivative instruments and hedging activities applying under Statements of Financial Accounting Standards No. 133, including reconciliations, journal entries, period-end closings, internal and external reporting, data analysis using Excel, VBA, Macros, and Tableau; handling of large data sets for analysis, as well as forecasting and financial modeling using SQL.

Job Location: 277 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10172.

Full-Time. Salary: $128,000 - $145,000 per year.
