Prime Client Transfers - Vice President

The Prime Client Transfers team is responsible for processing critical asset and cash movements requested by prime broker clients, including journals, payments, asset transfers, and other client-driven transactions. The Vice President will lead this team, ensuring operational excellence, robust risk and control management, and continuous process improvement. This role is essential for safeguarding the integrity of client transactions and maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Prime Client Transfers team, overseeing the accurate and timely processing of all asset and cash movements.
- Establish, monitor, and enhance risk and control frameworks to mitigate operational, reputational, and financial risks.
- Oversee reconciliation processes, promptly resolving discrepancies and ensuring ledger accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and technology adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Product, Technology, and Change Management to deliver seamless client service and support strategic projects.
- Develop and implement best practices for client transfer operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation.
- Represent the team in senior forums, providing updates on performance, risk, and control metrics, and influencing strategic direction.
- Manage complex projects and change initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and adoption across the organization.
- Serve as an escalation point for high-risk or complex client transfer requests, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in trade lifecycle operations, with significant exposure to asset and cash movements, reconciliation, and risk management.
- Proven leadership experience in a high-risk, high-volume operations environment.
- Deep understanding of market products, operating procedures, and industry regulations relevant to prime brokerage and client transfers.
- Strong expertise in risk and control frameworks, with the ability to design, implement, and monitor effective controls.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, automation, and technology adoption.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
