Portfolio Banker

As a Dealer Services Portfolio Bankers in auto finance, you will work directly with Auto commercial bankers and sales leadership to provide portfolio management support and assist with new business opportunities/loan renewals. Portfolio Bankers (PBs) serve as a sales liaison with credit, operations, client service and treasury teams with the primary goal of keeping new business opportunities / loan renewals on track to meet expected timelines and ensuring portfolios are effectively managed. PB alignment is by client, ensuring support for larger, more complex client relationships. PBs build relationships with client and have direct contact to manage portfolio effectively.

Job responsibilities
- Support bankers with new business opportunities, including spread requests, financial analysis, pricing model creation, preparation/participation in meetings with credit team, and engagement with treasury partners.
- Collaborate with internal partners to guide new business opportunities from proposal acceptance through onboarding, ensuring smooth deal flow and timely client delivery.
- Assist with annual renewals by validating pricing models and relationship strategies.
- Assist with onboarding new client relationships by engaging with operations, credit, treasury, KYC, environmental and appraisal teams, as needed. Review loan documentation to validate accuracy prior to sending to borrower.
- Support bankers with pipeline management to ensure new business/renewals move through pipeline in timely manner and escalate/resolve roadblocks.
- Update Salesforce opportunity/renewal records to ensure deal tracking accuracy.
- Participate in pipeline calls with bank leadership and provide deal status updates.
- Communicate with the client to obtain needed portfolio maintenance items and coordinate with operations and credit teams to clear past-due items.
- Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address issues.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience with commercial systems, such as Data Scan, ACBS and ICRD
- Adept at navigating through sales, credit, operations and support teams.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, math, management
- Financial analysis capabilities
- Superior analytical and quantitative skills
- Highly motivated, independent worker within a team-oriented culture
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Superior analytical, quantitative skills, client management, sales and marketing skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in commercial underwriting and risk assessment.
