Payment Lifecycle Specialist IV - Investigations (EMEA)

As a Payments Lifecycle Specialist IV within the Payments Investigations Function, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving client inquiries related to wire transfers. You will ensure all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to documented procedures and controls. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with clients and internal teams, contribute to process improvements, and develop your expertise in international payment operations.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure investigations and transactions are processed in accordance with documented procedures and controls.
- Undertake various team functions, meeting all relevant deadlines and maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Process manual instructions for fund and wire transfers in global currencies.
- Analyze information to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in training and educating team members on job functions and procedures.
- Perform backup tasks related to production and identify opportunities to improve work practices.
- Review, research, and process manual entries to resolve funds transfer inquiries.
- Interact with clients or the Client Service team to provide or receive updates on wire transfer inquiries.
- Work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to identify and complete tasks.
- Participate in the rotation of functions within the group to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Graduate with a strong academic record.
- Experience and working knowledge of international payment processing operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels; must be a team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive problem-solving approach, with ownership of issues and escalation as needed.
- Acute client focus with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- At least two years of experience in back-office operations of a reputed foreign bank or its processing arm/private sector bank/public sector bank, preferably as a supervisor.
- Experience in payment processing or investigations.
- Working knowledge of SWIFT and international payment conventions and practices.
