Payment Lifecycle Associate

As a Payment Lifecycle Associate within the Operations Team, you will support the day-to-day processing and control of domestic EFT and cross-border SWIFT payments. You will help ensure payments are processed accurately and on time, managing exceptions/repairs, clearing and reconciliation, and investigations, and coordinating effectively with internal stakeholders and local banks to resolve issues. You will be expected to operate with a strong risk & controls mindset, maintain clear documentation, and consistently meet cutoff times and SLAs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Relevant experience in payments operations with hands-on exposure to clearing and settlement processes.
- Strong knowledge of EFT workflows, including repairs/exceptions, returns, and reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of SWIFT payment processing (e.g., MT message flows and/or ISO 20022 concepts) and common payment data fields.
- Proven ability to manage payment investigations, exception handling, and timely resolution within cutoffs/SLAs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to coordinate across internal teams and external counterparts.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with local banks/correspondent banks in Turkey.
- Fluent Turkish and professional English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work in Istanbul in a onsite model and support shift hours/cut off coverage as needed.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and comply with risk, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Consistent record of meeting quality and timeliness targets in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and control mindset (e.g., maker-checker, audit trail, documentation discipline).
- Strong adaptation to multiple operations systems/queues.
