Payment Lifecycle Analyst - Investigations (EMEA)
Lead a team that keeps payment investigations moving every day. In this role, you'll supervise shift delivery, resolve exceptions, and improve how work gets done. You'll partner closely with other operations sites to meet business targets and support a strong client experience. As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst in the Payments Investigations Function, you will manage day-to-day operations by overseeing shift execution and supporting the timely resolution of investigations and exceptions. You will provide indirect leadership for a team of 8 to 10 members, coordinate with partner operations sites, and help deliver business targets through strong execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Supervise shift delivery to ensure work items are completed accurately and on time to agreed service standards.
- Monitor exceptions and drive timely resolution through follow-up and escalation as needed.
- Track procedure changes and ensure the team is informed and ready to execute updates.
- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and support implementation of improvements.
- Assess training needs and partner with the team lead to deliver required training.
- Build strong relationships with partner sites and key stakeholders to support smooth daily execution.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hold a graduate degree.
- Have 4 years of experience in financial operations processing, including team leadership experience in a similar environment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of international payment processing operations.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of payment messaging standards, including SWIFT and ISO payment message formats.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including people leadership skills.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving, including ownership through resolution and appropriate escalation.
- Demonstrate experience partnering with controls and training stakeholders to meet organizational objectives.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with ability to use data tools as needed.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Demonstrate experience in back-office banking operations as a supervisor.
- Demonstrate experience leading investigations involving clients and third-party banks for multi-currency payments.
