Payment Lifecycle Analyst - EMEA Payments Operations
Help keep payments moving accurately and on time. In this role, you'll support and supervise day-to-day payments processing and ensure client instructions are executed with strong controls and disciplined escalation. You'll partner closely with Client Service, Operations, and Technology to resolve issues quickly and improve how work gets done. As a Payments Processing Supervisor in the Payments Processing Function, you will support and supervise daily operations by processing and verifying manual payments based on internal and external client instructions. You will apply defined controls to ensure accuracy, manage exceptions and escalations, and respond to routine queries within deadlines. You will also help strengthen the operating model through documentation, training, cross-team coordination, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Execute client payment requests by applying defined controls and ensuring accurate processing.
- Process and verify payment instructions efficiently and escalate aged items appropriately.
- Identify and escalate errors and exceptions as they arise.
- Respond to routine queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain an audit-focused approach across business-as-usual activities, including evidence and control adherence.
- Identify process efficiency opportunities and implement improvements in a controlled manner.
- Create and update standard operating procedures and process documentation while following required standards and policies.
- Support a healthy team environment by sharing updates, taking initiative to assist teammates, and driving corrective actions.
- Deliver cross-training and knowledge transfer to strengthen team coverage and consistency.
- Train new joiners and support their onboarding and ramp-up.
- Prepare management information and scorecards as required by leadership.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hold a graduate degree.
- Have 3 years of experience in international payments processing operations.
- Demonstrate experience executing payment processing activities, including applying controls, resolving exceptions, and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of banking and financial services operations.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrate strong PC and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Demonstrate experience supervising payments processing operations or leading day-to-day team activities.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of SWIFT and international payment conventions and practices.
- Demonstrate experience developing or maintaining standard operating procedures and supporting audit readiness.
- Demonstrate experience coordinating projects and partnering with other sites or teams.
- Demonstrate ability to work extended hours or night shifts during high-volume periods.
