As a Senior Loan Closer within our Agency and Institutional Capital team in Commercial Real Estate, you manage the end‑to‑end closing process for multifamily loans delivered to government‑sponsored enterprises, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders to prepare, review, and finalize closing documentation while meeting funding and delivery deadlines. You proactively identify and resolve structural, legal, or documentation issues to ensure smooth closings and strong client experiences. You will manage a pipeline of complex and time‑sensitive transactions, maintain accurate status reporting, and support post‑closing activities including trailing documents and loan delivery. You'll help drive process improvements and best practices that enhance operational efficiency across the closing function.
Job responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end closings for multifamily agency loans from application through funding and delivery.
- Manage a pipeline of complex, structured, and time‑sensitive executions to meet delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate with underwriting, capital markets, legal counsel, title and escrow, and borrowers for seamless execution.
- Prepare, review, and finalize escrow analyses and closing documents in line with GSE guidelines.
- Manage closing timelines, rate locks, and funding conditions to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Identify and resolve structural, legal, or documentation issues that may impact closing or post‑close servicing.
- Ensure compliance with agency requirements and internal policies throughout the closing process.
- Support post‑closing activities, including trailing documents and loan delivery to investors.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives within closing functions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Five years of experience in closing and delivery of multifamily agency loans.
- Direct experience with applications and deliveries to government‑sponsored enterprises.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize to meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of multifamily loan structures, legal documentation, and closing workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Effective collaboration skills, including mentoring and issue escalation and resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or related discipline.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for closing and delivery workflows.
- Experience partnering with legal counsel and third‑party vendors during closing.
- Familiarity with loan servicing and post‑closing processes.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in commercial real estate lending.

- Work schedules will be full‑time in office, on a 40‑hour per week schedule.
- Final grade will be determined at time of offer.
