Operational Project Manager
Lead high‑impact initiatives that modernize processes and elevate client experiences-partnering across Business, Operations, Technology, Client Services, and Senior Management to turn complex needs into clear roadmaps and measurable outcomes in Asset & Wealth Management.
As a Senior Project Manager in Managed Accounts Middle Office, you will lead and support multiple initiatives across the full project lifecycle. You'll partner with Business, Operations, and Technology to deliver key outcomes, researching process, configuration, and system changes. You will elicit and document requirements via interviews, workshops, analysis, and workflow reviews. You'll synthesize inputs from diverse sources, resolve conflicts, and distinguish true needs from requests. You will also manage program coordination, including status, scorecards, and core project management functions.
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate within Operations, Client Services, Technology, and Senior Management to build business requirements, procedures, and processes; include project planning, resource management, requirements management, process mapping/design, procedure authoring, org design, and capacity sizing.
- Analyze data by collecting, synthesizing, and translating findings into evidence-based solutions that optimize project reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design, introduce, or re-engineer processes and business applications.
- Plan projects by creating detailed plans, documenting requirements, identifying issues, and drafting business and technical data/workflows.
- Facilitate meetings, support project facilitation, develop presentation materials, and deliver required reporting and metrics.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex programs or projects, delivering results across business units, typically demonstrated through 7+ years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Asset and Wealth Management products, services, technology, and market conventions.
- Strong understanding of the Separately Managed Account Retail business and its end-to-end ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Familiar with agile delivery practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Strategic and data-driven thinker with the ability to understand issues and opportunities, evaluate scenarios, and shape strategy and priorities.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, detail-oriented, and interpersonal capabilities.
- End-to-end project management expertise (scoping, business case, implementation, change management).
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve project issues, elicit requirements across stakeholder groups, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated IBOR implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of custodian or sponsor operating models.
- Proven leadership of outsourced retail asset management providers and vendor relationships.
