Markets Quantitative Research and Chief Data Office Business Manager - Vice President
The Chief Data Office and Markets Quantitative Research group impacts a significant network of stakeholders and partners covering Quantitative Research, Trading, Sales, Controls, Technology, central data and analytics teams, and other business managers to manage a complex portfolio initiatives on behalf of the business heads. As a key business advisor, this person would also be expected to challenge the business leads and drive both organizational and disruptive change. You will need to demonstrate curiosity, ownership mentality, and the ability dive quickly in and out of various product initiatives.
As a Quantitative Research (QR) Business Manager focusing on the Markets Chief Data Office (CDO), you will support the head of Markets CDO as well as three senior business leads with in the team (head of Data Product, head of Data Governance, head of Data Architecture) in driving a large portfolio of data-related initiatives across the Markets business with in the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB). In this role, the business manager will be responsible for project management of key cross-Markets initiatives and will work closely with the CDO heads to set the strategic direction. The business manager will also report on business objectives, progress and outcomes to key stakeholders with in Markets and in broader forums, and will serve as a key point of contact for all Markets data-related initiatives.

- Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning the business and support groups (including Tech, Controls, central data and analytics-related teams)
- Support the day-to-day running of the organization including headcount and expense management
- Partner with Quantitative Research Trading, Sales and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure
- Provide business representation in respective internal/external working groups and serve as a key point of contact on a Markets data-related initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior background in Capital Markets, with Project Management, Product Management, Business Management or COO experience
- Good understanding of and/or keen interest in Markets products (FX, Credit, Rates, Equities) and data, analytics and AI/ML trends
- Energetic, dynamic, and highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong presentation skills for senior and global business heads
- Ability to forge strong internal relationships across functions
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large data sets, using Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, and attention to detail
