Markets Legal and Regulatory Change Management - Analyst

Join our Markets Business Control Management team and help strengthen how we manage legal and regulatory obligations across global Markets. In this role, you will work with partners across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the business to keep regulatory obligation mapping accurate, consistent, and audit-ready. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of Markets activities and jurisdictions while contributing to a disciplined control environment. As a Markets Legal and Regulatory Change Management Analyst in the Markets Business Control Management organization, you will complete business-as-usual activities that support the Office of Legal Obligations program and the Legal and Regulatory Change Management framework. You will determine applicability of regulations to Markets businesses and map legal obligations to policies, procedures, and other evidence that demonstrates compliance. You will partner with stakeholders globally across multiple jurisdictions and support governance and reporting activities to help maintain an up-to-date regulatory inventory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine applicability of regulations to Markets businesses and map legal obligations and underlying legal text to policies, procedures, evidence, and core business processes
  • Execute obligation mapping activities using established tools and processes, ensuring consistency, completeness, and audit-ready documentation
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Business Control Management, and business stakeholders to align on interpretation and mapping outcomes
  • Support the development and maintenance of reference data to enable efficient obligation mapping, including matrices of business activities, legal entities, procedures, and control frameworks by product and country
  • Compile procedure gap analysis findings and provide structured recommendations to onshore partners on potential remediation approaches
  • Address and resolve items raised through quality assurance, audit, and control testing processes within defined timelines
  • Support regulatory change management activities, including assessment of regulatory impacts on existing mappings and evidence
  • Produce management information and governance materials to support program oversight and transparency
  • Support the weekly Markets LRCM triage process by coordinating inputs, tracking actions, and monitoring completion status
  • Maintain disciplined execution against weekly delivery targets while upholding quality and control standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and opportunities to improve efficiency and traceability

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in business controls, operational risk, compliance, legal, audit, or a similar control function supporting Markets sales or trading businesses
  • Familiarity with Markets products and businesses, with demonstrated interest in learning how they operate
  • Ability to read and interpret legal and regulatory text as a non-lawyer and apply it in a structured mapping process
  • Strong project management skills with ability to organize work, meet frequent deadlines, and maintain accountability
  • Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to process execution and quality control
  • Strong business analysis skills that enable objective, consistent decision-making
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high-volume throughput without compromising quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Ability to partner effectively across teams and regions to support coordinated outcomes

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Understanding of Markets control frameworks and how controls align to policies and procedures
  • Experience supporting regulatory change management activities, governance routines, or operational oversight processes
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, languages, or global stakeholder groups
  • Experience responding to quality assurance findings, audit requests, or regulatory exam deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
