Manager of Software Engineering-AWS/Agentic AI

As a Manager of Software Engineering-AWS/Agentic AI at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology - Claims, Dispute, Fraud, and Operations team, you will lead multiple teams and oversee daily implementation activities. Your responsibilities include identifying and escalating issues, ensuring compliance with standards, meeting business requirements, and adhering to tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Act as a mentor and leader for the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable engineering solutions
• Lead the team in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that address business challenges in the Home Loan Origination process
• Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including code reviews and quality assurance
• Maintain hands-on involvement in development tasks, leveraging proficiency in the AWS stack and programming languages
• Utilize knowledge of Agentic AI to integrate advanced technologies into our solutions
• Manage team dynamics, including performance evaluations, career development, and conflict resolution
• Drive Agile methodologies within the team to enhance productivity and responsiveness to changing business needs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role as an Engineering Lead or Manager in the financial services or home loan industry
• Proficiency in the AWS stack, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
• Experience with Agentic AI technologies and their application in solving business challenges
• Demonstrated people management experience, including mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector
