You will manage time-sensitive implementations end-to-end, working closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless go-lives. As a Payments Client Onboarding Associate in the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will lead the implementation of payments solutions for corporate and institutional clients from solution finalization through to production go-live. You will be the primary client contact throughout, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations with urgency and precision. You will coordinate across sales, product, legal, compliance, operations, and technology to deliver well-controlled onboarding outcomes on schedule.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end client onboarding plans, including scope, timelines, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the onboarding journey, driving alignment across internal teams and time zones.
  • Facilitate client workshops to refine solutions and agree on onboarding approaches.
  • Coordinate contract execution with legal and compliance, ensuring all approvals are in place before go-live.
  • Partner with technology and operations to manage testing readiness, user acceptance testing, and production migration.
  • Support onboarding for new product launches, ensuring readiness and a smooth client experience.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices that strengthen onboarding consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong risk and control environment throughout the onboarding lifecycle.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing project delivery, implementation, or onboarding role.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multiple implementations on time and to client expectations.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and drive urgency across stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a cross-functional, global environment across teams and time zones.
  • Strong self-motivation, initiative, and a client-first mindset.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in cash management, transaction banking, corporate finance, or a non-bank payment service provider.
  • Relevant project management certification such as Project Management Professional, Prince2, or Scrum Master.
  • Knowledge of payment technologies such as ISO XML, SFTP, application programming interface, or SWIFT.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Kyriba, or NetSuite in a finance or treasury context.
  • Experience with automation or artificial intelligence tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, or Copilot.
