Long-term Balance Sheet & Liquidity Forecasting Analyst

Join a team at the center of strategic decision‑making for our Commercial & Investment Bank ( CIB). In CIB Treasury, you'll help shape how we deploy capital and liquidity across key European legal entities. Your work will influence long‑term planning, regulatory outcomes, and business growth. You'll collaborate with partners across Treasury, Controllers, and the lines of business while learning a broad set of products and markets. As an Analyst in CIB Treasury you will help deliver long‑term forecasting of balance sheet, funding, and liquidity for major European legal entities. You work with partners across Europe, the UK, and global teams to meet internal and regulatory needs while building a holistic view of the CIB's activities in the region. Together, we translate business plans into forward‑looking liquidity and capital usage and turn insights into action. You will build expertise across products, legal entities, and regulatory metrics while developing highly transferable analytical skills.

Job responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CIB lines of business, Capital Management, Corporate Treasury, P&A and Legal Entity Control to support quarterly forecasting of future balance sheet, funding and liquidity requirements as well as tracking forecast vs. actuals
  • Assist with analysis of balance sheet, liquidity and funding impacts of potential business and structural changes in EMEA LEs.
  • Partner with central legal entity and LOB-aligned controller teams to validate entity and LOB level funding and liquidity levels. Collaborate with LOB-aligned teams to understand key planning assumptions around strategic and tactical business initiatives.
  • Provide support around monitoring of regulatory (LCR and NSFR) and internal liquidity usage on an ongoing daily, weekly, quarterly basis.
  • Provide ongoing support for related external reporting including ad hoc regulator requests and quarterly ILAAP and ICAAP reporting.
  • Assist in producing business summaries of projected funding and liquidity usage. Tracking and reporting upon forecast vs actual variances.
  • Drive on-going improvements and efficiencies when preparing forecasts

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Working knowledge of Investment Bank products and balance sheet along with general accounting principles
  • Previous exposure to liquidity risk and funding concepts
  • System fluency in excel as well as ability to leverage alteryx and tableau tools
  • Excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint (including PitchPro)
  • Strong analytical, investigative problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Focused work ethic, good business sense and demonstrated initiative, strong attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication abilities
