The Loan Origination Supervisor - Team Leader,provides global end-to-end loan origination, servicing, restructuring and trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of the client and lines of business, ranging from bilateral to large syndicated loan agreements. Services provided include Loan Origination; Documentation Review; Deal Closing & Funding; Core Loan Servicing; Loan Closing & Trade Settlement.

Job Summary

As the Loan Origination Supervisor - Team Leader in the EMEA Origination Deal Closing Team within the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Debt Capital Markets (DCM - consisting of Leveraged Finance (LF) and Investment Grade (IG) Transactions), and Credit Risk for all syndicated deal originations and transactions to ensure new loan agreements and amendments are operationally viable, recorded accurately, and any exceptions are managed accordingly - continuously operating within a controls-focused environment, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate stakeholders, including wider operations teams, to resolve inquiries and facilitate seamless deal setup in Loan System.
  • Review and interpret loan documentation, applying attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure operational feasibility and risk mitigation.
  • Actively participate in change management initiatives, leveraging resources to minimize disruption and facilitate successful transitions in both lending and trading services.
  • Maintain a strong controls environment, adhering to established procedures and policies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellent client service, supporting programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, supporting the development and engagement of colleagues
  • Review Loan Market Association (LMA) standard documents and other legal documents including New , Amendment and Reinstatement, assignment agreements, and related agreements
  • Construct bilateral and syndicated deal structures in loan platform (LoanIQ) including amending existing deal structures in line with Executed Loan Credit Agreement
  • Monitor recently signed deals for early-stage lifecycle events and action accordingly
  • Remain control focused, working accurately and in a timely manner to avoid control risk as well as staying up-to-date with Accounting and Risk policies

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years experience in financial services, banking operations, lending services or trading services, with an understanding of loan products and transaction management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret documentation and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency in time management, organization, and prioritization, working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated control mindset and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in loan servicing, origination, or transaction execution within a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with compliance processes, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
  • Strong data and technology literacy, with the ability to analyze data and support process automation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in stakeholder relations, fostering collaboration and building productive relationships.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and environments, maintaining focus and consistency in routine tasks.
  • Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions
