Lead Technical Program Manager

As a Lead Technical Program Manager - Technology Center Manager (TCM) at JPMorgan Chase, you are a key member of the local Technology Center Leadership team, providing program management support for global initiatives executed at the tech center level, as well as locally developed projects. You will help execute Global Technology (GT) strategy at the tech center, including educational programs, modernization and innovation initiatives, professional development opportunities, and a focus on building and strengthening our communities as we transition back to the office environment.

As an experienced professional in technology transformation and project execution, you excel at managing complex technology programs with significant impact on clients, employees, and stakeholders across the firm. You will collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm to identify opportunities for projects and programs that support local change. Working with your local technology leadership team and members of the tech center community, you will set goals, foster collaboration, and promote the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Technology Center Lead(s), helping to strategize, communicate, and implement the Global Technology Center strategy and GT's transformational programs and activities, while maintaining a broad view of the efficacy of those programs within the context of your local tech center.
  • Lead efforts to rebuild and strengthen tech center communities in response to significant changes in the global labor market.
  • Identify new opportunities in support of the tech center strategy based on ongoing evaluation of key location-based metrics.
  • Ensure tech center pillars are operational and provide advice and counsel to the local leads, maintaining a horizontal view across all the pillars. Ensure each pillar has the appropriate funding and approvals to execute their initiatives.
  • Oversee communication coordination and delivery, ensuring clear and consistent channels and cadence with site technologists. Regularly evaluate communication effectiveness and partner with Communications teams to set technology site communication strategies that align with GT priorities and messaging.
  • Act as an empowered delegate for local budget and financial oversight.
  • Manage the Tech Center governance, including leadership forums, metrics collation, event management and coordination for tech center-run or hosted events.
  • Support the Tech Center Program with additional project management, strategy development, and execution as needed.
  • Proactively raise issues and conflicts, investigate solutions, and provide implementation support.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Program Management concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of technology and non-technology stakeholders throughout the firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, budget management, risk management, and operations.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to define, attract, and foster community participation and development.
  • Understanding of global and line of business project and technology program management standards and methods.
  • Experience working with high-performing teams in complex technology program execution.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in developing and implementing technology center strategies.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with modern program management tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant experience in designing, developing, and implementing technology programs, constantly seeking to be an expert.
