As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cross Risk Calculations Technology, you will design, build, and deliver secure, scalable technology products that support the firm's business objectives. Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions to increase productivity across the finance organization

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Expert in Python or other programming languages for building large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in data analytics using Pandas and Numpy
  • Proficient in writing effective, scalable, object-oriented code
  • Experience building API services from scratch and structuring projects
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and querying relational databases
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of front-end languages such as JavaScript
  • Experience with open source orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Dagster
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture along with proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • Understanding of financial engineering, investment banking, or derivative trading
