As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Identity and Access Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Lead the development and integration of user interfaces using modern UI frameworks and technologies, ensuring seamless and responsive user experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and front-end technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Expertise in Java and React required, experience in ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) .
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of log data, create visualizations, and develop insights from data stored in Elasticsearch. Experience with Logstash for data collection and transformation, and Kibana for data visualization and dashboard creation, is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, JavaScript, and other modern UI technologies for building robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages, including Java and JavaScript.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Exposure to cloud technologies and deployment practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience integrating front-end and back-end systems for seamless application delivery.
