Lead Software Engineer - Java , React , AWS

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office team, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, you are tasked with implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in providing technical support and solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software issues.
  • Optimize and maintain AWS infrastructure, including S3 buckets, Kafka, Redshift, glue, and DynamoDB
  • Utilize Databricks for data processing and analytics tasks.
  • Develop and maintain software applications using Java and Python.
  • Design and implement APIs to enhance system integration and functionality.
  • Create and maintain user interface (UI) pages to improve user experience.
  • Ensure database integrity and performance through effective management and optimization.
  • Implement best practices for software development and support processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands on experience in software engineering with code development using JAVA, Springboot, Angular and REACT JS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Jules, or Spinnaker.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including S3 buckets, , Kafka, Redshift, glue, and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency in Databricks for data analytics and processing.
  • Strong database management skills and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in working with APIs and creating UI pages.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid programming skills in Java or Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
