About the Role
We are seeking a talented Java Developer with experience in Equities Finance, ideally within the Securities Lending domain. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that support our securities lending business.
- Collaborate closely with traders, operations, and other technology teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate actively in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Work as part of an Agile team, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and continuous delivery.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of systems critical to our trading and settlement operations.
- Integrate and manage real-time data streams using Apache Kafka for scalable, event-driven architectures.

What We're Looking For
- Strong Java programming skills, with experience in multi-threaded and high-performance applications.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for building distributed, real-time data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot or similar frameworks, and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Hands-on experience with the full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team, communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive business success.
Preferred Knowledge
- Understanding of the Equities Finance business, especially securities lending workflows and trade lifecycle.
- Experience with financial products, trading systems, or post-trade processes.
- UI development experience in React JS
- Experience with cloud deployment, design and development
