Job Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer in Prime Finance Services, you will be an integral part of a global team enhancing, building, and delivering trusted technology products. You will architect and develop real-time, mission-critical trading platforms, tackle large-scale engineering challenges, and mentor a diverse team. You will collaborate with stakeholders and technologists across Hong Kong, Singapore, Glasgow, and Mumbai, driving business success and fostering a culture of creativity, inclusion, and technical excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build and optimize technology products.
  • Spearhead the design and development of real-time, mission-critical trading platforms using Java and KDB+/q.
  • Tackle large-scale engineering challenges with technologies such as Kafka and AMPS.
  • Lead innovation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for stability and scalability.
  • Mentor and inspire a diverse team, fostering creativity, inclusion, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive business success.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience developing real-time, low-latency Java-based applications in financial services, preferably in the Equities domain.
  • Proven expertise in GenAI and Copilot.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring, data structures, and performance tuning (including garbage collection).
  • Solid experience with Kafka, AMPS, and FIX protocol.
  • Proficiency in testing and debugging low-latency applications.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Open-mindedness and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • UI development experience in React JS.
  • Experience with cloud deployment, design, and development.
  • Experience with KDB+/q, including building and performance tuning of real-time subscriber, tickerplant, and HDB.
  • Understanding of the Prime business, particularly Equity Finance, Locate, and Positions Management.
