Job Description:

Latam Markets BACC Operations provides post-trade operations support for the Markets and Securities Services businesses in the region. We also maintain close partnership with the Payments business.

The team sits within the broader Brazil Operations group, which supports the full lifecycle of onshore trades executed primarily in Brazil-trade and sales support, capture and validation, matching and affirmation, confirmations, settlements, client valuations, and regulatory reporting-across FX, Fixed Income, Repos, Equities, Futures & Options, and OTC derivatives. These products are settled and/or cleared through local market infrastructures, including the Central Bank, Selic, and B3 (formerly Bovespa, Cetip, and BM&F).

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and drive disciplined execution across our operations functions.

Latam Markets BACC Operations lead will report into the Head of Brazil Operations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of day-to-day post-trade operations, ensuring timely, accurate processing and strong client service across the full trade lifecycle.
  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing, diverse team; create an inclusive, collaborative culture that drives ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with the business and Brazil Operations leadership to prioritize and execute key transactions and regional deliverables, aligning stakeholders front-to-back.
  • Drive a scalable, resilient operating model across Markets, Securities Services, Payments, and global/regional partners (including cross-region coordination as needed).
  • Identify, assess, and manage operational risk end-to-end, maintaining strong controls and regulatory compliance; use sound judgment on escalation and drive issues through to closure.
  • Deliver transformation and efficiency by understanding current-state processes and system linkages, prioritizing strategic improvements, and adopting new technology/AI solutions where appropriate.
  • Run the function with disciplined governance: manage performance through KPIs/KRIs and other metrics, ensure financial discipline (budget/capacity/productivity), and communicate clear, concise updates to senior management.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant operations experience, including leading teams and delivering projects/initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership, including hiring/developing managers, setting clear roles and expectations, and optimizing team structure and performance.
  • Strong post-trade operations and trade lifecycle knowledge (capture/validation, matching/affirmation, confirmations, settlements, valuations, regulatory reporting).
  • Thorough product knowledge across multiple asset classes (FX, Fixed Income, Repos, Equities, Futures & Options, OTC derivatives).
  • Strong risk and control discipline in a regulated environment, with a track record of driving issues to resolution and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills to map processes and systems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across levels and regions; independent judgment, ability to manage competing priorities under pressure, and a high-ownership, self-motivated approach.
